Plus (+Plus) is a popular Japanese pop boy band. The band formed in December 2009, and was signed to the label Pony Canyon. The boy band consists of members MOTO, Yoshikazu Kotani, Tomoya Nagai, and Takeshi Iwamoto. While their sound is primarily pop, they often include elements of other genres in their music such as hip hop, reggae, and R&B.
Their debut album ‘Canvas’ was released in 2010. Although it did not immediately receive a lot of attention, this all changed when their songs were used for the opening themes of popular anime ‘Fairy Tail’ and ‘Reborn!’.
All the members already have successful careers as actors, but they decided to join forces and promote their passion for music through +Plus. As a group they have so far released one album, and six singles and are steadily growing in popularity.
